Phylicia Crichlow earned her Master of Social Work with a specialization in Mental Health and Health, complemented by an emphasis in Community Development from the University of Toronto. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, alongside a Post-Graduate specialization in Addictions and Mental Health. Phylicia is a Social Worker, Health Equity Advocate, and Community-Based Researcher with extensive experience working across various capacities within the mental health sector. Her passion lies in utilizing research as an advocacy tool to craft racially and culturally attuned programs, fostering an intersectional and responsive approach to addressing the social determinants of health. Through her work in research, mental health counselling, and community development, Phylicia aims to challenge health inequities, combat anti-Black racism, and support collective healing in response to transgenerational trauma. Outside of her professional endeavors, Phylicia finds joy in travelling, indulging in movies and live shows, and savoring delicious cuisines.
