This mixed methods study will examine the effectiveness of implementing a peer-based e-health counselling intervention for racialized LGBT+ clients within an existing community based clinical counselling program. The goal of the study is to build a model and the case for ongoing funding to implement peer based 3-session online counselling interventions as part of the roaster of counselling options offered within community-based counselling programs. The effectiveness of such intervention for racialized clients and other marginalized populations as well as the cost effectiveness of a peer-based model would ensure access to culturally and racially appropriate mental health services for marginalized communities. The community organizational partner ( Women’s Health in Women’s Hands CHC) will be able to utilize the research findings to develop a training program to replicate the intervention within other community based mental health programs to increase access to services for racialized clients.
