Abigail Omariba is a third-year undergraduate student at the St George Campus of the University of Toronto pursuing a double major in Immunology and Biomedical Toxicology. She has tutored students from elementary to secondary school across a variety of subjects through volunteer programs in order to foster the upcoming generations to love learning and continue the pursuit of knowledge. She has also participated in a range of hackathons, developing her ability to create and problem-solve.
As Abigail joins the BHEL team, she hopes to develop her qualitative research skills and looks forward to giving back to the Black community through providing the means to advocate for their health and make sure that their health struggles–physical or mental– are acknowledged and taken seriously.
In her spare time, she loves to bake and listen to a variety of music genres.
